Claude’s Foodie Retreat

Please ensure to read and sign the bottom and return to claudesfood@gmail.com or in person on arrival to Claudia Perey or Jonathan Dempsey who are the Owners of Claude’s Food.

Booking Conditions

• Non-refundable deposit $500 is required at the time of booking to secure a spot at the Retreat
• Full Payment is required by 6 weeks prior to commencement of the retreat.

Cancellations

Cancellation up to 30 days prior to start date will receive a 60% refund of monies paid minus the non refundable deposit. Or you may transfer 100% of this payment to another Claude’s Food retreat within 18 months, less a $500 cancellation fee.

Cancellation up to 14 days prior to start date will receive a 30% refund of monies paid minus the non refundable deposit. Or you may transfer 100% of this payment to another Claude’s Food retreat within 18 months, less an $800 cancellation fee.

Cancellation after 14 prior to start date no refund can be given but a credit to a future retreat will be given minus a $1000 cancellation fee.

Should this retreat be impacted by COVID lock downs or other Government regulations beyond our control, we will offer a full credit to the next rescheduled retreat with an additional $100 administration fee. If a small price variance occurs due to change of venue, you will need to pay the difference. If future dates don’t work and you wish to cancel, a full refund will be given less the deposit.

In all of these situations it is possible to transfer your place to another person but this must be discussed with Claude’s Food beforehand. Also, if we mange to fill your space at late notice, we will refund the full amount minus the deposit and $200 administration fee.

If for any reason other than a government directive, Claude’s Food had to cancel the retreat, we would refund in full all monies paid to us.

Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance when booking to cover against illness or accident, cancellation, loss of luggage etc.

Claude’s Food accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses due to delays or changes in schedules, flight cancellations or missed connections due to mechanical problems, sickness, quarantine, weather, strikes, government actions, war, terrorism, pandemics or other circumstances beyond its control. Participants must bear all such losses or expenses.

What’s included

Accommodation, all meals on site, retreat experiences and materials (excluding massages).

Not included

Airfares. Transfers. Massages. All items of a personal nature – alcoholic beverages, special food requests not previously organised with Claude’s Food

Changes to the retreat itinerary

Whilst all efforts will be made not to, Claude’s Food reserves the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary or change reservations and features without notice.

Single Participants

Many of our rooms are offered on a twin share basis. If you are travelling alone you will be matched by Claude’s Food in twin share with another suitable solo participant. If you request single occupation of a twin room, a supplement will apply to cover the cost of two beds.

Health

Please advise prior to the Retreat if you have any health issues that may affect your participation in any of the activities. If you have specific medical requirements, please make sure you bring whatever you need with you to manage that. Claude’s Food can not be held responsible for any medical episode you experience whilst on retreat.
Participation in any of the activities offered on retreat are at your own discretion and Claude’s Food will not be held responsible for any injuries.

Please do not attend the retreat if you are unwell with a contagious illness.

Dietary Requirements

We must be told about any specific dietary requirements or allergies within 1 month prior to the start date.

Alcohol

Alcohol will not be provided by Claude’s Food on retreat, however you are welcome to bring your own. We do discourage excessive alcohol consumption and will not be held responsible for any damage caused to or by you whilst on retreat.

Accidental damage of Woody Grove Retreat property will be the sole responsibility of the person who caused the damage not Claude’s Food.

Photography/Videography

Please acknowledge that retreat photographs and images which include you (the participant) may be published by Claude’s Food for marketing purposes only, your name or identity would not be disclosed. If you do not wish to be photographed special arrangements may need to be made so
please discuss this with Jon or Claudia as soon as possible.
